Academic and professional background
Alexandr is Assistant Professor at the University of Macau, Faculty of Law. He holds a Licentiate in Law degree from the Free International University of Moldova, an LL.M in International Business Law (with specialization in EU Law) from the Central European University, a Master of Research in Law from the European University Institute and PhD in competition law from the European University Institute. Prior to joining the University of Macau, Alexandr has completed his post doctoral research project at the Tallinn University of Technology. In addition to his academic and research work Alexandr acts as a freelance legal expert in matters of competition law and market regulation. He has been involved as a national expert in a number of projects concerning the implementation of the EU rules and policies in the legislation and practices of the EU Member States (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia) and other countries (Moldova, Serbia) and has authored a number of publications on competition law developments in Central and Eastern European jurisdictions.
